My Story

Storytelling took me around the globe—but connecting with people is the real adventure. As a U.S. Air Force storyteller, I've met incredible people and shared powerful stories in every corner of the world. If there’s one thing I've learned, it’s that truly effective communication is all about authentic connection and strategic insight.

Most people meet me now because of AI. Fair enough. That is the part of my work changing the fastest.

But I got here the long way: a notebook, a camera, the AP Stylebook, a lot of public affairs work, and more than a few moments where the right words mattered more than I wanted them to.

What I'm Building Now

Today, I help teams make sense of artificial intelligence without making them feel small for being new to it. My work sits where AI adoption, ethics, training, and communication all have to work in real life.

AI Adoption

The Communication Years

Before AI, there was journalism, public affairs leadership, crisis communication, social strategy, web governance, executive messaging, and the discipline of listening before talking.

Strategic Communications

Cameras First

I started with a camera, a notebook, and the AP Stylebook. Photography, videography, live coverage, and field storytelling taught me to notice the story before trying to explain it.

Multimedia

Faith, Family, And Story

I am also writing a middle-grade Christian sci-fi novel, leading life groups at church, and reading my way through so many MG/YA books with my kids.

Connect

This site is where those threads meet. I'd love to hear what you're working through, too.

Photography

A picture isn't just worth a thousand words—it's the story you didn't know you needed.

Photography isn't just about capturing moments; it's about revealing truths, uncovering stories, and connecting us to each other. My passion? Using visuals to discover and celebrate the real experiences behind every face.

Videography

Video isn't just "nice to have"—it's essential storytelling.

When I started in storytelling, video wasn't on my radar—but since diving into videography in 2014, I've learned it's one of the most powerful ways to connect, engage, and make stories unforgettable. Now, I can't imagine strategic communication without it.

Journalism

Journalism taught me this—words matter, people matter more.

My career began as a military journalist, crafting stories that stuck because they were real, relevant, and resonant. Interviewing isn't just asking questions; it's discovering hidden truths and shaping words into something meaningful and memorable.

Social Media Management

Social media isn't just posting—it's strategic storytelling that builds trust. Anyone can hit "publish," but creating genuine connections online takes insight, authenticity, and a dash of wit. With years of experience managing social media for diverse clients, I know what it takes to grow an engaged community that cares about your story. Ready to stop chasing algorithms and start building relationships? Let's talk.
